We cover the upcoming April and May deadlines for the fall limited license and the availability of over-the-counter tags and leftover license. Welcome to a special breaking news segment of Today’s Wilderness. March 6th 2009, Kevin talks with Jim Unsworth, Deputy Director of the Idaho Fish and Game Department about the announcement today by Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, delisting the wolf in Idaho as well as other areas surrounding the state. This will now allow the state to take over the management of wolves in Idaho and add a wolf hunt as early as this fall potentially.

Jim also discusses some of the conflicts they have been experiencing between wolf and elk populations in various areas of the state. He also speaks to some of the incredible opportunities for resident and non-resident hunters alike.
